Created through years of practical farriery, this brush system was developed after recognizing that many horses are not suitable for sanding. While sanding can produce a polished appearance, it may remove healthy hoof material and is not always the best option for maintaining hoof strength.
The Foot Finishing Brush System was developed to meet strict no-sanding regulations used at many elite competitions, including the World Championships at Spruce Meadows. This is the same system Steven used on his way to winning the 2025 World Championship.
