About the Book

Sunday on the Farm is a collection of stories drawn from Bruce B. Daniels' more than four decades of shoeing horses. Told from the perspective of a working farrier, the book looks back on the horses, horsemen, racetracks, blacksmith shops, and unexpected situations that shaped his life in the trade.

Daniels mixes humor, personal recollections, and farrier history as he remembers the people and experiences he encountered throughout his career. The result is a firsthand look at an era of horseshoeing told by someone who lived it.
