EasyShoe Speed Metal Front – 126mm

The EasyShoe Speed Metal is a hybrid glue-on/nail-on urethane horseshoe with aluminum inserts. Glue using the integrated cuffs, or remove the cuffs to nail the shoe. The Speed Line has thinner webbing to increase traction, making it ideal for performance disciplines. Available in full urethane (EasyShoe Speed), with metal inserts (EasyShoe Speed Metal), and threaded inserts for 3/8" studs (EasyShoe Speed Metal Trac). EasyShoe Speed in Metal and Metal Trac can be nailed if cuffs are removed.

Q: How is the EasyShoe Speed sized?
A: Sizes correspond to the widest part of the hoof. Each size increases by 4 mm. Measure at the hoof’s widest point.
Q: Are the shoes Front and Hind pattern specific?
A: Yes. Front and Hind patterns provide a better fit without modification. Hind patterns can also work on narrow-front hooves.
Q: How long can the EasyShoe Speed stay on?
A: Typically for a full trim cycle (about 4–6+ weeks).
Q: Can the EasyShoe Speed be reset?
A: Most horses get 1–2 resets per pair, sometimes more depending on environment and movement.
Q: What glue should I use?
A: Acrylic or urethane adhesives can be used; EasyShoe Bond Glue is recommended.
Q: What tools do I need to apply it?
A: Adhesive, dispensing gun, mixing tips, plastic wrap. Hoof prep tools may include a rasp, hoof buffy, and a butane torch.
Q: Can I nail the EasyShoe Speed?
A: Yes. Cut off the cuffs (tabs) and nail the shoe.
Q: Can studs be used?
A: Yes. EasyCare Quick Studs can be used. The Metal Trac version includes threaded inserts for 3/8" studs.

A: Yes. You can rasp or grind material to set a custom breakover.

A: Options include cutting the small bridge at the keyhole to increase heel flexibility, removing frog support for an open-frog design, and shaping the shoe (Metal and Metal Trac). Leave cuffs to glue; remove cuffs to nail.
