Scott Edens Anvil | 200 lb.

World Champion Blacksmith and Farrier Austin Edens has teamed up with Scott Anvil to produce a new and innovative anvil. The design of the Scott Austin Edens anvil is a fresh take on the classic London pattern that has been a favorite of blacksmiths and farriers for many years. Austin has added several features to make this one of the best blacksmithing and shoemaking anvils available.

The anvil features a 4-3/8" × 9" horn with a true taper from the body to the tip, ground and finished so it is symmetrical without ridges or flat spots. The corners of the table are tapered back to stay out of the way when you are working on the horn.

The hardy hole is moved up in the face, closer to the body and waist of the anvil, so hardy tools work more over the center of mass which is great for running tool and fuller blocks. Two ledges are added, one on each side of the face, giving you a crisp edge for heel caulks, ag heels, clips, or any time you need a clean ninety degree working edge.

The underside of the heel is V shaped, giving more clearance when working a branch on the face so you can push the toe bend closer to the anvil without the other branch catching on the bottom of the heel. This V shape also adds strength to the heel of the anvil.

Scott anvils are poured in a Texas foundry using a proprietary ductile iron blend with the properties needed to produce top quality shop anvils. Each anvil is ground, machined, heat treated, hand finished, and painted in Amarillo, Texas. Designed, tested, and used by Austin Edens.
