Dan Salcito Hoof Knives
Dan has been making hoof knives since 2013 out of Skull Valley, AZ. They feature a wide blade with a full spine to accommodate sharpening and are made of high carbon steel. Handles are made of knotty alder and have a burned linseed oil finish. Each handle has a thumb groove for leverage.
Straight and Curved handles available.

Great knife!

Best knife I’ve ever used. I have a right and left. Ive had other handmade expensive knives and the handles split or fell apart. But, these knives have stood the test of time. Ive used them here in Northern California for almost 2 years where hooves are hard as rock in the dry summer and they’re as good as when I bought them.
